Welcome to Relative Strength Wednesday's trading video. In what is a first for me in the five years I've been using Chaikin Analytics, not one of the major sector ETF Powerbars has a ratio above 1. With a market-down condition and no bullish strength anywhere in the US equity market, we had to dig really deep to find a trade for our long-only portfolio. We started from scratch at the beginning of January, and became fully invested right when the market put in a top. It's not pretty. But we continue to forward test trading signals (long) in all market conditions. Finding the relative strength in the markets are a key to that process.
Following a deep 2 day sell-off, what is Chaikin Analytics telling us? Today we'll spend a little extra time analyzing the markets, run through our weekly "Macro-Monday" analysis and see if there are any opportunities to take advantage of the weakness as we look for Chaikin entry signals. Well, we didn't much like the way the market looked this morning pre-market. Here's the video that showed why we didn't like it.

Our market posture is meh-bullish. The major indexes have meh-Powerbar differentials and the S&P's are waffling around the still-uptrending Chaikin long term moving average. In today's trading meeting, we managed our current long portfolio and looked for some trades for meh-markets. In our personal accounts, that meant selling credit spreads, strangles and iron condors on VIX pops. But, for our long-only stock forward test Chaikin signal tracking, the pickin's were slim today. Today's meh-trading video.
Today we considered a bullish options strategy in Nucor on an Oversold Buy signal. We also considered a bearish entry into Coca-Cola. We revisit our Relative Strength Wednesday analysis to help make our decisions. Join Us Here

Using our usual proprietary Chaikin Power Bar differentials and technicals, the bullish investing environment is looking pretty good to us right now. Volatility is up a little in today's trading, probably due to the possibility of a surprise in the upcoming Fed announcement. Video Here
Despite headlines jittering the markets, market conditions are actually improving. If the market breaks above resistance, Chaikin Analytics pushes us in the direction of tech and financials. Video Here
