A 22% Gain In a Month!  Hey, We're Not The Only Ones Paying Attention to Very Bullish Power Gauge Rated Companies.

This week, we were rewarded for our best trade since the inception of our Chaikin Analytics powered portfolio, which we've been managing for a year and half.   A 22% gain in about a month in Microfinancial.

When we bought 1000 shares of MFI back on November 5th, we noted how rare it was to see the 4 key factors driving Chaikin Analytics' Power Gauge ratings all pegging the green at the same time.  Financials, Earnings, Technicals and Expert Opinions all screamingly bullish!  And insiders were buying shares of this commercial finance company hand over fist too.   This company was going up!

Now, this stock had been trading sideways for over a year.  But at the time of purchase, the Power Gauge, the relative strength indicator, and price relative to the long term Chaikin trend all made positive moves at around the same time, with Chaikin Money Flow strongly green.  We felt as if this was the beginning of a significant uptrend after a long sideways consolidation.

We're not hard core analysts.  We have day jobs.  We don't have time to roto-rooter company fundamentals, but that's the kind of effort one must put forward in order to gain a trading edge in the markets.  How else can you hope to find undervalued companies with potential significant upside?  By following a simple, but extremely sophisticated "quantimental" system using Chaikin Analytics. In minutes a day, we've been able to grind out market beating, positive expectancy month after month, without a team of analysts and industry experts at our beck and call.

Yesterday, MFI was acquired by Fortress Investment Group for $10.20  a share, a price significantly above the price at which shares had been trading.  (We bought at $8.05)  We're not arbitrage traders, so tomorrow, we'll sell our position and bank our profits.   Chaikin Analytics pointed out an undervalued company in a favorable sector/industry group, with consistent earnings, priced well under its true market value with lots of upside according Wall Street analysts. We weren't the only ones to be attracted by the favorable risk vs. reward that an investment in MFI carried.  We're just glad we pounced before FIG did!

Are you following our trades?   Did you take Marc Chaikin's advice not to panic during this volatile week and cherry pick very bullish stocks in industry groups that have been out-peforming everything else so we could profit substantially once the market bounced?  If you  did, you've been handsomely rewarded, and Chaikin Analytics likely paid for itself for the next couple of years in the past 2 trading days!  Noone knows what the future holds, but being consistent and trading with a Chaikin Analytics edge the approach that's worked for us.
