Hi. I'm Mike O'Connor, an Austin Texas based independent stock investor and option trader. I'm not employed by Chaikin Analytics, but I'm evangelical about the Chaikin System and its contribution my directional stock and option trading results. I have a day job running a small digital advertising agency, and I don't have time to conduct deep and thorough technical and fundamental analysis of hundreds of companies.
I trade with Denver based mortgage broker Aaron Montell. The two of us spent years in the unstable, constantly downsizing radio industry. We decided to teach ourselves how to trade in order to avoid becoming victims of media downsizing.
I've long been a fan of Marc Chaikin's technical work, but his new app takes things to a completely different and quite a bit more powerful level because of the ground it covers. Compared to typical trading/investing recommendation engines that focus narrowly on a couple of oscillators and moving averages, stocks must pass 20 rigorous Chaikin filters and can only rise to the top of the stack on the strength of earnings performance, valuation, price momentum, analyst opinions, intensity of short selling, and whether company insiders are buying. Fundamentals are what drives institutional trading decisions, and institutions are the market. Marc has come up with an algorithm that marries all these key company factors.
AA and I are both gainfully employed doing NOTHING that comes close to professional trading. We make a small commission on sales of Chaikin Analytics apps, but are otherwise regular retail traders. We feel like this app gives us a trading edge, and we'd love for you to join us. We meet every morning at 7:45 central to set our trading bias and objectives for the day. You're welcome any time. Just drop me a note
In addition to trading directionally with the help of Chaikin, AA and I are advanced option traders and manage a large portfolio of theta positive, delta neutral option positions. We enjoy "inventory trading" and trading speculatively ahead of company and market events, such as earnings and Fed announcements.
